The Department of Communication at UC Santa Barbara strives to foster a community that is proactive and reflexive in the pursuit of an accessible and inclusive working environment for all people, as part of our commitment to excellence. A 5-year plan (2025-2030) was approved in May, 2025 to help guide ongoing work that is needed to facilitate and maintain a departmental culture that centers inclusivity, equitable access to campus resources, and social justice for all of its members, and in accordance with UC policy.
