Bio:
Dr. Abra is a Continuing Adjunct Lecturer in the Department of Communication. His primary interest is in social power and the mechanisms of its expression and maintenance. He is interested in how power manifests in group processes, in the legal system, in and social networks.

At UCSB, Dr. Abra teaches Power in Communication, Group Communication in Multiple Contexts, The Legal Community and the Courtroom, Communicating Science, and the Senior Honors seminars. Previously he has taught Social Psychology, Criminology, Law, Criminal Justice, Social Theory, Statistics, and Social Research Methods.
