Congratulations to (Dr.) Rachyl Pines, who is now Postdoctoral Researcher with the UCLA-affiliated Terasaki Institute for Biomedical Innovation (https://terasaki.org/institute/who_we_are.html.) which focuses on the processes involved in organ transplants. We understand, given the Institute is interdisciplinary, that the Search was highly competitive involving multiple interviews.  Rachyl, who is also encouraged to bring her own health comm. projects with her, will work under Deputy Director Dr. Amy Waterman who has a Ph.D. in Social Psychology and is also a Professor in UCLA’s Division of Nephrology (https://exploretransplant.org/about-us/who-we-are/amy-waterman-phd/).  Initially, the post is for a year but renewable thereafter. Click here for a short video of Rachyl presenting her dissertation results.
