Emilija Gagrčin is a doctoral candidate in political communication at the Free University of Berlin and works as a research assistant at the Weizenbaum Institute for the Networked Society. She obtained her MA degree in Political Communication from the Free University of Berlin. Her research focuses on social and normative aspects of citizenship in digital environments. She will be working with Dan Lane.
Outside of academia, she has been engaged as a peer educator in the field of intercultural learning and education for democratic citizenship for almost a decade. Since 2018, she is serving as a member of the Advisory Council on Youth of the Council of Europe, a leading body for setting standards in youth policy in Europe.
