Communication Association 2009-2010 Officer Positions
All Officers will serve as committee leaders and delegate certain tasks to members of their team. Each officer is in charge of ensuring the completion of tasks by their team members.
Being an officer is a valuable career experience and a great resume builder; however, it is important to consider the amount of time you have to commit to this organization. It is best to think of officer involvement as an extra class - you must attend speaker presentations, workshops, and planning meetings. Additional work on your own will also be necessary. If you do not have enough time to dedicate, consider being a team member rather than an officer. In order to build an outstanding organization, officers must be fully committed to the goals and purpose of Communication Association.

Who are we?
The Communication Association is the only on-campus student organization that brings you speakers and contacts in fields such as Public Relations, Event Planning, Marketing, Advertising, Journalism, Broadcasting, etc. Last year we had speakers such as John Palminteri, local Santa Barbara Senior Reporter (ABC), and Carp, the morning show host for KRAZy Country Station 105.9 FM.
Come check us out at our meetings Tuesday nights at 7pm in the Lobero Room of the UCen. Meet other comm majors (and non-majors), hear influential speakers from various communication-related fields, take advantage of networking opportunities and be a part of this fun, fast-growing organization!
If you have any questions about the Association, please feel free to contact any of the above officers.
The Advisor of the Communication Association is Professor Jansma.
