Neurophysiological substrates of health-risk messages

welcome!

Welcome to Dr. Rene Weber's research group on health-risk messages at the University of California Santa Barbara. Our group engages in cognitive communication science, or how the brain processes various aspects of communication. We are especially interested in the neurophysiological substrates of the cognitive processing of media.

We are currently in the early stages of an NSF-funded study on anti-marijuana public service announcements (PSAs) in conjunction with UCSB's new Brain Imaging Center. Find out more about this project here.
