Shardé Davis is a PhD student under Tammy Afifi in the Department of Communication at the University of California, Santa Barbara. She is an alumna of UC Santa Barbara where she earned a B.A. in Communication and Feminist Studies in 2010. Her areas of research include family communication across cultures, interpersonal communication, and intergroup dynamics. Shardé is currently working on her Master’s thesis where she examines the consequences of discussing romantic relationship issues with female friendship networks.
