Kathryn Harrison is a Ph.D Student in the Communication Department at UCSB. She received her B.S. in Communication Studies at The University of Texas at Austin. She earned her M.A. in Communication at San Diego State University, having completed her thesis work on the role childhood displacement plays on attachment styles in both adult romantic relationships and friendships.
Kathryn's areas of interests include communication topics related to stress and resilience such as coping with aging family members, childhood development, and chronic illness. She is also interested in how technology interacts with family and health communication.
