The University of California, Santa Barbara NSF-sponsored Interdisciplinary Graduate Education...

Eric Zackrison, David Seibold, and Ronald E. Rice's paper, "Organizational coordination and communication: A critical review and integrative model," was selected as a Top 4 Paper by the Organizational Communication Division of the National Communication Association, Chicago, November, 2014.

Fowler, C., Gasiorek, J., and Giles, H. "Introducing the communicative ecology model of successful aging" was selected as the Top Paper in the Communication Aging Division, to be presented at the National Communication Association, Chicago, November, 2014.

Professor Cynthia Stohl is the UCSB graduation commencement speaker for the 9:00 ceremony on Sunday, June 15.

Teaching and research are both essential duties of Senate faculty members, and the Committee on Distinguished Teaching believes that excellence in teaching and excellence in creative and scholarly work go hand-in-hand.

Congratulations to Esther Cisneros, who was awarded $1,000 from the UCEAP $1 Million Scholarship Initiative, the UCSBEAP Gaucho Scholarship fund, and the Griffiths Scholarship fund, to study in JAPAN this summer.

The Department of Communication Student Communication Association, advised by Professor Anna Laura Jansma, held its annual Internship Mixer on Tuesday evening, February 25, 2014, in Corwin Pavilion.

Rachel Cansler, a Communication Major working on her senior honors thesis 2013-2014, was awarded the Al Wyner Scholarship for Undergraduate Research.

The Media Neuroscience Lab puts hard science into traditional communication methodology.
